Career Services
These services are not meant only for the graduating students but also
for any student right from first year engineering level to graduate engineer
level. The Training and placement Services provides information to the
students on the various issues like:
- Filling up of application form
- Writing CV
- Preparing students for corporate world by training them in the art of group discussion, interview techniques and aptitude test.
- Counseling the students regarding job opportunities
- Informing the students about the openings in the various companies.
- Guiding them with respect to the summer industrial training.
- Helping the students in the field of research activity.
- Imparting them
the skills of project management and assisting them choosing the right
project for their curriculum.
Training
Wing
The training wing of the Career Services Cell has conducted a number of
short duration courses to groom the students for corporate world. Following
courses are conducted round the year for the benefit of the students.
The courses are conducted in small batches of students. This enhances
the effectiveness of the program.
First Year Engineering
At the first year level, a yearly course titled 'Effective Communication Skills' has been introduced. The idea behind holding such courses is to imbibe in the students the importance of communications skill in their future life and career.
Second Year Engineering
An advanced version of the communication skill has been introduced at second year engineering level wherein the participants are trained on decision-making techniques and leadership development programs are introduced for them.
Third Year Engineering
At the third year engineering level, participants are trained on Group Discussion Skills and aptitude of the participants is judged by conducting Aptitude Test.
Final Year Engineering (B E)
The final year students
need more enhanced and rigorous training activities. They are offered
in-house training on personality development program that includes group
Discussion Techniques and Mock Personal Interview sessions.
Apart from this a large collection of library books on personality development
are available for students to learn finer tricks of developing one's personality.
